Why we have it on our site at all is addressed in our FAQs

All of our trunks are original manufacture, and so may have
various original marks from being used as luggage. We
choose to leave most of these in place as we feel they add a
certain character and historical nature to these fine pieces.
Only the second artist's design finished by our resident, "A Rose for
Friendship" simply exudes old-world elegance.

Created for the St. Vincent DePaul charity, this piece features yellow-gold
roses nestled amongst the antique brown and silvered background, symbolizing
friendship's rarity and beauty in the world.

Inside, antique gold and royal blue add a bit of familiar fanfare, as do the
original borders and picture of a fox-hunter with his companion-dogs.

Add to all of that the ultra-rare Rose pattern - without a doubt the most
sought-after of the public patterns - and the rare double-H-slats adorning both
front and sides and you can quickly see how wonderful "A Rose for
"Friendship" can be.
